Remember where you are. Here your opinion is OK and well received. As I said before in other treads, it's a matter of choices. Enjoy your ride to all of you.

f150freak,
We can say the same about doing performance mods to a 4.2, It is true, do what ever works for the individual truck owner, I say go high..but I like the lowered trucks to...Depends on what you like the most. Not to mention the fact that you can drive over an MR2,LOL......On a serious note,How safe are 3 inch blocks for raising the rear? Seems like it would flex,
ALOT!! Is there a safer way? How about
changing the whole leaf? Any options on the rear, without turning it into a bouncing
nightmare? what about body lifting? is it
safer? Boy the questions are starting,now,,,,,,98 Thanks for the up votes......

    Question

To those of you that have a fabtech lift, have you guys had any problems with your alignment after a couple of months?

I made a post earlier, but the thread was about 4x4's, so the guys weren't sure about my question.

Now to the heart of the matter. I was out looking at suspensions(Fabtech 4.5" dual shock long travel), when the sales rep at a major shop in SanDiego told me that the Fabtech setup was too much for the truck. That all Fabtech suspension kits were too stiff for factory components of Ford's IFS, primarily the idler arm. This was because Ford came out with IFS on the F150 in 97', and not all of the bugs have been worked out for modifications to suspension. So the idler arm goes bad in a couple of months. Which means the front end won't stay in alignment.

    Now.....wheeeeew, anyone have this problem?

    Cool

O.K. I have to know where you got the hood, Steel or fiberglass? And how much
was it? Looks cool!! I want to change to a cowl induction hood, whether the suspension goes up,or down.....Hey,did anyone see the wicked F-150 on Titus last night? Silver with metallic blue flames, too cool. Had big rims and low profile tires, too.

i got the hood from cervinis 800-488-6057. awesome quality. its back off now i was just trying it out before finishing out the bottom side. i'm thinking about changing colors so it may be awhile before the hood is on permanent. it cost me $449 shipped because a friend of mine and i ordered a hood each they cut the price on both 10% and only charged shipping for one hood. may i suggest "find a friend"!

The low life is the only life.

Besides, I've got friends in low places... Hmmm, sounds like a song.
