Question Rear shock removal.

How do you remove the top nut from the rear shock without the upper part of the shock turning also?

I used my cutting torch. but you can also take a box end wrench on the nut and use a small wrench on the top end of the shock or a pair of vice grips will work in a pinch. if this doesnt work any local tire store will install them for about 20 bucks usually.

There is a second nut located on the shock stud, below the frame member that the shock passes through. On the F150 it is an 18mm nut. There is a hole through the frame to allow wrench access. I just did mine, it was fairly easy. GlennMc.

I first did the monkey wrench thing like dragging frame, then found the second nut. Easy after that.
