Question Rancho RS9000X Question

I have an '03 Scab XLT 4x4 5.4L w/towing package and just replaced the P235/70R16-E's with Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo LT265/75R16-C's and was wondering how much better the ride would be with Rancho RS9000X shocks? I hardly ever carry a load, and it seems that these OEM "heavy-duty" shocks don't have much give to 'em--very rigid. I have read numerous posts on here about the RS9000X's, and thought they might help smooth out the ride. I commute 55 miles each way to work on a crappy California fwy, usually empty, and need some relief.

If you set the RS900x on the softest settting, you will notice a big difference in how it rides. And you can go back to the OEM level when you please which would be in the 3-4 range for the RS900x.

BTW, still buy 3 get 1 free unil end of June.

I notice you have 2003 model but you don't say how many miles. I noticed on my truck that it was very stiff when new. However, the shocks did soften a little bit after several thousand miles. It still rides like a truck, but not as stiff as it did when new. Give your shocks a little time and they may soften a little.

fx4x42002:

I only have 1,200 miles on the truck. Maybe I'll give it some time to soften up. THX

Crazy as it may sound, but my truck felt alot looser after some off-roading in Big Bend NP...it's like I finally got the suspension and shocks bouncing a bit and they softened up (of course, it is still a 4x4, but it 'feels' a little softer).

OH WHAT THE HECK!

I went ahead and ordered the Rancho RS9000X's. I figure that I'm going to have this truck for a long time, so I might as well do it right while the gettin' is good! Still "Buy 3 Get One Free" @ Sam's. Jumped on it.
