Question How to help the expeditions ride.

Sorry to post this in an F-150 area, but the expedition has the same chassis, so i guess it is ok.

We have a '99 2wd Expedition w/air springs in rear. And when going down the highway and minor bumps in the street, the whole truck will bounce. It is really bad on freeways. Now, I realize that the Expy is heavy, but is supposed to do this? How can I fix it. I was thinking of replacing the shocks with Rancho RS9000s because they are adjustable. Will they help take the bouncing out of the ride? We also tow a travel trailer, so will upgraded shocks help with that? Thanks

Well, it is a very short-wheelbase truck.

Have you checked the air pressure in the tires? I don't know of any aftermarket shocks for the rear of an "X" with LLS. For the front, personally, I like the Edelbrock shocks.

The tire pressures are at a perfect 44psi. I didn't know that normal aftermarket shocks won't work with the LLS. Thanks for pointing that out.
