Question Bent??

Has anyone (besides me) ever bent a factory shock? I had a bad one on the front, so I replaced all 4 (I know, only needed 2). When taking the left-front off, I noticed it looked crooked. Sure enough, it was bent. Haven't done any off-roading or even on-roading (yuppie 4-wheelin') in my new 'baby'. In fact, the only thing I've really done is pull a umm... rather heavy... dirt-moving object. Don't see how that would have bent 1 shock though.
