Question Newbie Lift Question

I just bought a '03 F150 4.2L V6 XLT Super Cab and 3.55 gears. I am wanting to add a little lift to it. I don't really want any more than 3". Can anyone give me any ideas as to where to look for pricing as that is a major concern for me right now. What size tires could I run on the stock rims. I currently have 255/16. And would I have any power problems running larger tires with my 'lil V6?? Thanks for any help you give a rookie.

if you only want 3" you should go with a lift spindle. They give you between 3" and 3.5" of lift and yu will not have to touch the back of the truck cuz the spindles will put the front about 1/2 higher than tha back and it look good. You can use your stock shocks and the ride will be just as smooth. They run anywhere from 60 to 700 installed. Try any suspension placew around you and they will have they. Will that lift you can run 33's without a problem. Right now I am running that suspension system with 35's(needed new fenders to do that though)

the spindle lift drps the part of the spindle that connects to the rotor lower thus lifting the truck. the spindle is between the 2 a-arms. this lift allows you to to keep the rest of the suspension stocka nd have a good ride. Hope this helps.
