lowering kit for 92 F-150
I purchased a lowering kit for my 92 f-150 from GodFathers customs. It's a 3/5 Drop with lowered I beams and a flip kit. I was wondering if anyone has installed a kit like this? How hard is it and do I have to notch the frame in the rear? Also If anyone has a pic or knows where one is with this type of drop so I can see how low it will be? Thanks!!
92: I dropped my 1995 Flareside with the exact same kit as you. I did the installation myself, in my garage. It took me about a day adn a half... no big deal. I even did mine with hand tools. The only problem I ran into was breaking some bolts loose.... an impact wrench would *really* help. Otherwise the kit goes smoothly.
The rear doesn't come with a notch, and doesn't need to be notched. If you need any help, just e-mail me. You can see a pic of my truck at http://www.uscmw.com/f150 in the photo gallery. Page 3.
