Post Air Leveling System & Alarm

So since I got my 2K EB Expy in march, I've had more fals alarms with my alarm system then I'd ever had the two year prior with my old system. It's always the Radar or Shock Sensor that sets it off, and most of the time it's within a couple minutes of turning off the engine & setting the alarm.

I've got a top end alarm, that's properly adjusted for sensitivity, so I'm 99.9% sure it's not the alarm. The only thing I can come up with is that the Air Leveling system in my expy is setting the alarm off when the Compressor releases the pressure after a couple minutes of the truck being turned off. Could that be it? If so, has anyone else had these problems? Also, once the ALS releases the pressure in the system after the engine shuts off, it won't fill up / release again on & off while the vehicle isn't running will it?

If anyone's had similar problems or has any ideas what could be the problem or how to work around this problem I'd love to hear!

Thanks
Ralph

P.S. Posting in multiple forums since I don't know where exactly this problem fits.

Thumbs down

I had the factory load leveling suspension in my 97 F250 LD. It was terrible! It might have been ok, except they only gave me two leafs in my springs when it would normally have five and had the air bags carrying all the weight. I actually blew out two air bags before I finally ripped it out, beefed up the springs and replaced it with an aftermarket system. One of the bags blew while just sitting empty parked! The last straw was when one blew with the slide in truck camper on the truck and leaving for vacation ($350 per bag). Since they gave me no springs, the whole load heaved over and bottomed the truck out on one side. I hope it's a better system now. A local ambulence company had them in all their vehicles and had to take them out of every one and replace with decent steel springs for the same reasons I stated.

My air system would run whether the truck was running or not. However, there was a switch near the front passenger side kick panel that could be used to turn the compressor off when you didn't want it running.
