Lifting the front for leveling
Does anyone know the best way that I can lift the front of my stock F150 4x4 ext cab, to level the front up with the back..I love my truck, it would look better to me it seems...if it would set more level....Thanks Dave
I cranked my torsion bars and I have no ill effects. The ride is still good and the alignment is also good. It is up to you what you want to do..........

Sorry, I'm not familiar enough with suspension work, but am curious about "cranking the torsion bars". This lifts the front end 1-2" from what I've read before. How do you do it? That's probably a dumb question here. I will search for some pictures also. Thanks, though if any more info.

If you lay down under your truck right under the rear of the drivers and ppassenger door there is a crossmember that goes from the drivers side to the passenger side with two bolts facing up with the head side towards the pavement. What you do is put a socket w/ a breaker bar and crank one turn at a time forcing the bolts further into the torsion bar holder. Do one complete turn on each side then measure from the ground to the top of the fender well. When you get the same measurement on all four tire you are done. I heard people jacking there truck up, but I did not I was told by a front end shop to leave the truck on hard level surface. Hope that this helps any questions I will try to answer for you......steve
Thanks for the answer steveo, I'll check that out tomorrow. BTW, how many turns did yours need? I see you have the ORP, mine doesn't. Don't know if that makes a difference.

Stevo,
What did it do to your tire alignment when you cranked it up? Thanks.
