Question Urethane shock bushings on Ranchos?

Do these come on Rancho shocks? Just want to know what to expect when I go pick them up in an hour or two. If they don't, does anyone know where to get some???,,,,98

The 9000/9000x series come with urethane bushings. I am not positive on the 5000/RSX lines.

Lightbulb

Well, I went down to the auto parts store, and of course they ordered the rears instead of fronts. One of the boxes was open so I decided to check it out. Negative on the urethanes on 5000's , plain old rubber bushings. Maybe Pep Boys has a bushing that will fit them in the Energy Suspension rack?,,,,98

I'm also going to measure my end links, and get some while I'm there. Hell, maybe some bumpstops, too?

Got them finally, and the urethane end links. The cornering stability is greatly improved, and the ride is nice. Seems more solid than the Reflex shocks, like the truck is one piece again. The Reflex shocks were nice, but they had the tendency to not know what they were supposed to do on some bumps. They would either rebound to much and exagerate movements, or not at all and seem really stiff. Like your tires were the only thing absorbing the bumps.,,,,,98

Rancho shocks aren't gas charged? These had no straps, and had to be manually pushed up to the upper mounts. I do love the boots though, pretty cool looking

Glad you got everything setup! No complaints on my RSX's either.

Man, I sometimes forget how HORRIBLE most auto parts stores are now. It took three tries to get these shocks in at O'Reillys', which as HI LO, was the BEST parts chain in town. Now they have the same idiots every other chain has, Autozone, Pep Boys, etc.. Whatever happened to knowledgeable people, and decent replacement parts? Once in a great while you get someone that has a fair amount of knowledge and can really help. But, nine times out of ten it's some 17 year old girl who has never gotten her hands dirty before, or a mid 20's guy who would rather be ANYWHERE else in the world than at work. Yawning, lack of attention span, etc... I told this kid at Pep Boys that what I was looking for was not on the shelf, and that is the very first thing he did, walked over and stared blankly at the shelf I had just scanned myself. He then proceeded to look briefly through a torn up 2002 store catalog. I let him know the part I'm looking for was probably released in mid Jan. of this year, and would not be in the 02 catalog anyway. He then proceeded to tell me he could not call Energy Suspension to find out, cause they were long distance. I was then told that if I found a part number, he could look it up and "see" if he could get it. At that point I got fed up, and left quietly. And people complain about dealer prices, sigh. You're better off at the dealer, at least the person sitting there has a general understanding of basic automotive functions. I know I have been critical of dealer prices before, but who hasn't? I guess big money has even ruined auto parts stores, the last vestige of knowledgeable employees. I'm old enough to remember the old mechanics who used to be behind store counters, and watched the transformation happen over the last 10-15 years. It's pretty sad......,,,,98
