Question Downsides of body lift???

If I decide to lift my truck, I going to seriously lift it like a suspension and body, but everyone I've talked to says you don't want a body lift, because the frame is visible, the shifter is lower, etc. So what are the down sides of installing a body lift?

I personally wish i spent the extra to get the spindle lift...but the body lift is fine. Especially when its combined with spindles or suspension lifts. And it doesnt change ride and wont put a gaping whole in your pocket.

Cool

In my experience I've only seen one problem with a body lift. I had a friend with a Bronco II he used to jump constantly and beat the you know what out of off road. He had a 3" body lift and a suspension lift clearing 33's. One of his body lift pucks started punching it's way "into" the cab of the truck.

I like the Body lifts since they don't significantly raise the center of gravity of your truck like a suspension lift will do. I had one on my Mazda p/u with 33's and I wheeled it on a regular basis with no problems.

I think I am going to have the shop do it.I put one on about 15 years ago on my brothers ramcharger....Id rather drink pepsi and watch time go by now, then go pick it up...lol...think the cost is 650 installed..What a waste of 500 dollars huh...oh well...but that includes kit, brakets for bumpers, and inside fender skirts....Not to bad Dave
