Post 3" body lift on 97 ex. cab 4x4 ORP?

I'm looking at putting the performance accessories 3" body lift on my truck. Will this lift make my truck ride like crap or affect it's handling? Right now the truck is so smooth, like a car. I'm sure you know. Also, I plan on keeping my 17" ORP wheels, I really like them, but is there a tire that will fill in the added space from the lift? I can't seem to find 17" AT or offroad tires. I wanted BFgoodrich Mud terrains, but no 17". Please help. Thanks. How is the installation if the lift?

If you want to go up to 35's, you'll have to accept some degredation in ride smoothness...

After I installed my body lift, I test drove it before putting the suspension lift on, it will be a little more top heavy because you change the center of gravity, really only noticable it turns but its not bad. The ride itself will not change much.
BF Goodrich does have a 17" AT tire but I dont think it is avalable yet. I have seen trucks in magazines with them.

Mickey Thompson makes a bigger 17" tire. I think it is a 35". From what I have heard though they are expensive and wear fast. Also, I'm not sure what size rim they recommend, the stock 17" may be too narrow.

If you are talking about the polished aluminum ORP wheel your right - they look awesome. I wish I could have found a bigger, long wearing tire for mine. I couldn't so I went to 16" rims.

Thanks Mudder, I really appreciate it! You also have ONE really sharp truck. You have very good taste in trucks. I really like the Manik grille gaurd. Do you reccommend it. I need to get something up front. Do you know were Mumbly go those leather signiture seats? I just happened to notice them while looking at your truck. Pretty sweet.

Squanto804,
Thanks, but geez I wish I could have a lift like you. Well I love the Manik, I definitely recommend one, makes the truck look tough, so in your case even more tough It was pretty easy to put on, no drilling recquired, just bolt on. I'm not sure where Mumbly got that put on, he told me but I forgot. You can email him, he dosen't mind, it's mumbly@myf150.com
