RS9000X rear install bushing question

Greetings
I recently got my RS9000x shocks for the front and rear for my Supercrew. The install for the front went fine. The top two bushings were compressed and evenly centered with the washers provided. The problem I'm having is with the rear shocks. I am unable to evenly center the bushings for both sides of the rear. The bushing I am refering to is the top side that were provided with the shocks. Every time the bushings starts to compress as I am tightening the top nut, it seems that the bushing starts to get misaligned. I currently have it on but the bushings are still not centered. Any tips on trying to get it centered? I tried to wipe off all the grease from the mounting area so its not slick, and also tried flipping the bushings to the other sides, but no luck. My concern is with the bushings getting chewed up in a few months because of its misalignment. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks for you help.
James
