Post How-to info on lowering

I want to do a moderate drop myself (2 or3-4), but want how-to information. I checked the tech. articles on this site, but there was nothing. Can anybody point me in the right direction?

thanks,
josh

Thumbs up

I have a '95 Lightning and I just installed Eibach 2" coils and Western Chasis 1" or 2" shackles. Since my truck is a Lightning, the coils only lower it 1-1/4" because of the factory drop. The shackles are adjustable 1" or 2". I set them to 2" and it was about 1-1/2" to 2". This may also be affected because of the already modified suspension. The parts were VERY easy to install compared to other vehicles I have worked with. It took me approximatly 1.5-2 hours for the springs one day and no more than an hour on the shackles the next day. If you have any more detailed questions you can email me at Sam2611@aol.com

Cool

I installed the western chassis kit on my truck that can be either a 3/4 or 3/5 kit. It came with good instructions, so the only hard part was replacing the hangers on the front of the leaf springs. You have to chisle and grind the rivets to get the hangers off the frame. This took much more time than anything else.

I have some pics on my site below, or you can also e-mail me from there as well.
