Steering Stabalizer

I want to get one of these for my 2000 F150. I did a search on this and didn't find much. Does anyone have any pics of one installed, also how much should I spend on a single or dual setup??? Is this something I need and does it help for those that have it??

Thanks

I just got mine yesterday. Rancho kit (single shock) from 4 wheel parts for $70. I'll install it this week end and let you know how it goes. Any time you install bigger wider tires it is a good idea to have this I don't know why Ford did not install this as a factory option!!

I wish I had a store in Iowa. I will just order one from them and have friends help me put it on. It can't be that hard.

Good to hear. I looked under the truck last night and it looked kind of tough, but it's good to hear it won't. NOw I just have to find a steering stabalizer for my truck. All the local places want $100 or more for one without install. I am going to have to look on the net for something around $50.

Install my steering stab. today it toke me a little longer than I thought. The trans. cooler lines were in the way just had to take it slow. The only problem I ran into was that I did not have the bigger socket set for the Rancho provide bolts so had to go down to the parts store for the socket set. The steering feels whole lot more smother with the stabilizer.

The biggest problem I had today is one of my tire had a big screw stuck in it on the outter edge. I'll have to bring the tire to the shop Monday morning, hopefully they can fix it. I would realy hate to buy another tire, I only had 1500 miles on these.

I don't have any pic. If I have time this week end I'll pull the skid plat and take some pic. I got this from 4 wheel parts and it's about $70 for the Rancho kit. It took me about 1 - 1 1/2 hour the most.
