Question IFS or strait axle?

I have IFS on my F-250 HD. What are some of the advantages and disadvantages to IFS and Strait axle? Should I consider a swap? Please help

Thanks...Tom

Hi 4x4Landscaper! I guess the IFS system will give you a nicer ride/control than a solid axle, the diff sits higher so you get better clearence. But a solid axle setup would be cheaper to lift and is tougher than an IFS system IMO. But for the money and time you would spend installing a solid axle, I would put a suspension lift on the IFS and get skid plates. The IFS diff is a 8.8 incher and I think you can get a ARB locker for it!

Have fun!!!
