Post 3" body lift

hope you guys can shed a little advise:
I have a 2000 f-150 off road and plan to add a 3" body lift specifically Performance accessories (JC Whit.). I want to go with Super Swamper TSL/SX 35" but the only width offered w/ the 35 is 15.50 is this size possible w/ my lift w/o rub even if I crank the torsion bars slightly???If not I'll have to go with the reg. Swamper style...would 35x12.50's work??? and finally w/ this a 3" lift do I have to extend the brake lines and bleed the system??

I have a 3" body lift on my truck with 33x12.50's and do fine. There are many people on here who run 35x12.50's without any rub. If I went with 35's I would have to trim that black valence piece under the bumper to fit them. I am doubtful that 15.50's would fit. No Brake adjustments were needed.

In have a 97 with a 3 inch body lift and 35x12.5x16 BFG ko's. My truck doesnt have the orp. The tires do rub on the mud flaps at almost full steering lock. I havent had my torsion bars cranked up. I believe that would fix the problem. I put the tires on 8 inch rims. 10 inch rims would probably rub alot worse.

I have 33/12.50 super swamper TSL's on my truck at the stock height. I took the front valance off and it rubs a little bit on the inside of the wheel well when u go over a big bump on a hard turn, other then that they are great. I am getting a 3" body lift very soon and heard that the kit recomends 36/12.50's, which i hope is true.

Cool

JDM,

Yes, you will be able to run 285's with a body lift. Some guys on here are runnin 285's with no lift on there 4x2 and they have no problems. Good luck.

Love 24wheel,

Do you have any pics of your truck, would like to see it with the roll bar, thanks.

Cool

JDm,

It's pretty easy, you just stick the bolts in, and tighten them on up. Now wiring them up is a different story.

All I can say is that it will take some time and you have to know what you are doin. To install two on a brush guard, will take a little over an hour or so.

Question

Hey Mudder,

I've mounted two KC's on my Manick about a year ago. I'm wondering if you had experianced the same problem that I did when I tried to bolt them down.

The predrilled holes on the Manick were from topside were OK, but the bottom hole was not wide enough in diameter to allow the rubber vibration washer to be inserted through the hole. Each light came with two of these rubber anti-vibration washers, one which was to be used on top of the mounting surface and one on the bottom of it. I actually had to rumage for longer mounting bolts that would extend vertically all the way through the two predrilled holes so that I could utilize the rubber vibration washers from the bottom, as well as from the top of the Manick mounting surface for the KC's. The original bolt that came with the lights to mount them with was not long enough to extend all the way through the Manick light mounting platform to accomodate all of the washers, and the nut itself. Your thoughts and experiance with it....?

I know what you are talking about. But what I did was make a light bar that bolts to the two holes on the Manik, so I didn't have to mess with the bolts and washers not fittin through. But I had two Baja lights on the front before I added the KC's, and that wasnt a problem. They just don't give you much room to work with under there. I think what some people do is grind the hole enough to where they can get in there. Here are some pics of the bar:
