Post Will 3 inch Spindle lift look good with 265/75/16's?????

Okay, as I get closer to making the decision on a lift, I have a question. I just invested $$ in new Mud Terrains, 265/75/16 thinking that I would NOT lift my truck. Now, I'm thinking differently! Will a 3 inch lift look good with just 265's? Does anyone have a picture of a truck with this setup? Thanks!

I have the spindle lift and the stock 255s that came with my pickup. It looks OK, but I'm about to get the 285s in a month or so. That's what most of the guys put on the spindle lifts and it looks good.

It sounds like the your 265s and the lift will look similar to a stock 4WD.

Texas-

What did the lift run you ($$). Also, is the ride about the same or did it stiffen up? I heard that the stock ride is maintained with just the spindles...

The ride is the same as before. I paid ~$700 for the tax, spindles, leafs and cam bolts. I also had to get an alignment.

I've got the 265's(they look a little bigger than that though) and I have a 3" body lift. They look fine...it looks like a stock 4x4...I parked right next to a 4x4 and height was same and tire size looked pretty much right on too except he had the 17" rims...

to be honest I had the same concern as you...I didn't want to look stupid running 265's w/ a lift but I am very pleased w/ the look and I get a lot of compliments on my truck. Do I wish I had bought bigger tires?..sorta but as I bought 'em a month before I decided to do lift I gotta keep 'em ..the boss...oops meant the wife would shoot me if I spent any more $$$.

what kind of lift does the STX have in the rear, because it does not look level. where can you buy 3 inch coil spacers? what size tires does he have on his truck(the ext. Cab truck)?

the stx probably has blocks in the rear. 1 or 2"'s. Dave has the spindles and a Fabtech A-Arm And coil kit. Not Spacers. It includes a new Coil Spring.

Does Davensa have a website, or another pic a little closer to the truck? Trying to get a visual on the tires and lift...it's a total of 6.5 inches, right?

I have the STX with 3" spindles and 1.5" blocks in the back. I wish i would of gotten the 2" blocks and it resemble the stock 4x4 in the back more. My truck was higher than MUDDER'S 4x4 by an inch or less until he put on 285's. Who knows now. Davensa has the same tires as I(285/75/16). Hey Dave I am really interested to ride in your truck to feel your set up. It may be something I do. Looks sweet in the pic.

The ride is stiff over speed bumps and such,(nothing to harsh i cant live with) but on the highway and streets its nice and smooth....We went rock climbing at the San Antonio Rally and she held her own..Its sits about 6ft 7inches now so it stil fits in the garage...lol..If it wasnt for that I would be going another 3 inches and 35 inch tires....who knows maybe next year.......Dave
