Thumbs down Pitman Arm

I am starting to hear a screeching noise when turning my wheels in the garage. Is this the Pitman Arm going? If so how long can you drive the vehicle before having it repaired? I have a 97 F150 with 41000 on the clock, please advise.

Don't know about a screech but almost every 97 squeaks because of the pitman arm. Mine is finnaly at the point that i am going to replace just because I am sick of hearing it. I don't think they are worn out, they are supposed to have been made so they never needed greasing. Yeah, right! The replacement arms have grease zerks(imagine that).
