I'm sorry to hear that you are having problems, but I have the same shocks, and they are great. I got them 1 month ago from the online store and there is a major difference in the ride, a lot smoother. Hope everything works out for you.

I'm really suprised about your problems. I ran the Edelbrocks for 4 weeks and really thought they were top notch shocks. I exchanged them only because I wanted adjustability. Hope you get everything straighted out.

Angry Edelbrock IAS Shocks and Quality

Just thought I would vent a little and let people know of my experience with the IAS shocks. I bought them online back in December, paid about $65 a-piece. I had read that these were the best shocks out, and worth the extra $$$$. Well after installing them, I wonder. Imediatly after installing the shocks, I noticed the improved ride and handling (good). But I also noticed a "clunking/rattle" noise whenever I hit a bump with the right wheels. After rechecking the installation and checking for anything loose on the truck, I noticed oil dripping from one of the rear shocks. A call to the place I bought them got a new shock on the way, and I returned the bad one for credit. But I wasn't through. The clunking was still there. After rechecking every nut and bolt under the truck, wheel bearings, and having the dealer check the front end, I finally swapped the two front shocks, left for right. The clunking moved to the left side. I now have a new front shock installed, no more clunk. I have no idea why the shock causes this, but for a premium shock, 50% failure seems excessive. I can't say I'm unhappy with the way they work now, and they did replace them under warranty (hassle). I'm not sure I would recommend them. I don't know that they perform any better than other performance shocks I've bought in the past, and they seem to have a few bugs to work out.

Steve
