OK, I've got an '82 F150 and I want to lower it about 2" and go from 15" rims to 16". I see all kinds of lift kits, but how the heck to I drop this thing. I know I can cut a coil and drop it in the front, but then what do I do with the shock? And would a dropped spindle be a better way to drop the front?

For an '82 F150, they have the I-beam suspension, so the correct way to drop it would be to use lowered I-beams. You should buy a copy of Truckin' magazine. They have all kinds of ads for lowering kits.
