Post Bushings

I have a 1993 F150 shortbed 4x4. I have to replace the radius arm bushings about once every six months or so for the last couple of years. Any ideas why they wear out? Ford dealer charges over $150.00 a piece to install.

Somethings wrong. They don't wear out like that. The passenger side bushing should have a metal heat-shield on it (looks like a big rounded metal washer) because its close to exhaust heat. The radius arms prevent fore-and-aft movement of the Traction Beams. Are your Traction Beam bushings totally gone? (these are the hinge point of each Beam).
Or do you have a suspension lift kit on that didn't drop down the Radius Arm mount brackets?

Where are the traction beam bushings? There is a heat shield there. The camber bushings or whatever you call them was replaced a few months ago and I was hoping that was the problem. My truck is stock no lift kits. I have had the radius arm bushings replaced three times in the last couple of years.

I agree with Granpa- something else is wrong.

In the seven years that I had my '93, the bushings were only changed once.

This might sound silly, but are your shocks bad?
