I'm also looking into the leveling kit. Are your going with bigger tires? First I'm putting on 265/75/16's. I havn't heard much about how the ride feels. Or seen any pics of what it looks like You? Also trying to find ou the price of the kit? Fabertech hasn't email me Back yet. Do you Know? Help would be great.

I've heard mixed things about them, if added by themselves they will mess up the alignment. The guys at fabtech said you have to buy alignment cams and the lift kit to get it right. Or you can just buy the fabtech preformance set up that comes with upper control arms which fix everything.

ah64fixer, yes on the bigger tires. Was looking at the 285's on a 16" rim. A guy
at my work has the leveling kit with 295/75/16's and it looks very nice, although there is not much room in the back. Those 295's filled in the back wheelwell pretty good. As for price, I came across a web site
that listed this kit at $280.00. And the performance set-up (with A arms) was around $560.00. And the full blown 3.5" lift
was $980.00. Hope this helps.. Also let me know what you decide. After Ilmagill's post, I may go with the performance kit with the A arms and hope for the best..

Question

Ilmagill, Did you experince any power or MPG loss with those 285's on the 3.55?

Also I see you are from San Marcos? The same San Marcos San Diego? If so I'm just down the 15 freeway in Scripps Ranch and would like to talk more about your truck..

Hey guys I saw a truck with the leveling kit and it looked pretty good. Not really high enough for me. I saw it at 4 wheel parts when I got my spindles put on and the mechanic said that the kit kind of sucks and pointed out how bad the alignment looked. I had to agree that it looked terrible. The toe was like way off and as well as the camber. I think he already had it aligned too. But I don't know for sure. He had 285's on underneath. I have also heard that the leveling kit doesn't work well with the 4.2 cause the engine isn't heavy enough for the springs that are used. Makes the ride super stiff. My suggestion is to get the spindle by bullseye that raises the front 3". On the back I put a 1.5" block. The great thing about this type of lift is that it keeps the same ride. Although when you put on bigger tires the ride does get stiffer due to just the tires. BFG all terrains have a stiffer side wall with 3 ply instead of 2. My truck looks just a little higher than stock 4x4 I think. You can see pics of my truck on the events and happenings board. They are in the sections about the dfw rally on the 21 and 22. My truck is the one with the white bumper and brush guard. The spindles are like $550 and I paid 150 for install. Although I got hooked up through a buddy at 4 wheel parts. Anyway hope this helps and good luck

Being 17 sorta makes me heavy on the gas but what i did notice was about 1mpg decrease and it wasnt as responsive with bigger tires which is why im looking into changing the gears to 4.10 or 4.30's. And yeah im right up there by encinitas.
