Does steeda make a rear sway bar that will fit a 99 f150 4x4? What other sway bars are available for this?

Question

I just installed the factory step bars (like
the red F150 on F150 Online's start page) and am now in need for yet another thing to add. I'm curious if anyone's checked with Ford about adding a factory rear sway-bar. Every Expedition I've seen has them, and it would have to be the same suspension as the F150, I would think. Maybe the factory bar is not so stiff compared to aftermarket, but I've heard a lot of complaints from people in here that have added them.

I couldn't find one on Steeda's web page but one of the members on this board has one - I don't know if his truck is a 4x2 or 4x4. I think you will have to call Steeda directly to find out. The Hellwig seems to get mixed reviews (some love, some hate). If you search back a few months, you'll find lots of info about rear bars.

Rons,

The rear suspension of the expedition and the F-150 are different. The former has a coil-over suspension and the latter is leaf springs. The geometry of these two systems are quite different.

You guys might want to try Belltech. They make a swaybar for the rear, and an improved one for the front. One of the magazines did a full install of these a few months back. I believe their address is www.belltechcorp.com.
