Question What lift do I need for a 2wd Reg Cab 99 F150

I would like to lift my truck but I am confused as to which lift I should use. I have a 99 regular cab 2wd 4.2L 5 speed and I just want to know what my choices are. I have heard from some poeple that there isn't a body lift for a 2wd F150 and also that the fabtech lift doesn't work with a regular cab. I'm 17 so money is a BIG issue. Any information would be a big help

Hunter,
Call Off Road Unlimited here in Phoenix. They have a kit for the reg cab. They have also built a reg cab that was in Trukin' mag in the last year or two.

The "Leveling Kit" from Fabtech doesn't work on Reg Cabs. However the 3.5 inch lift does. Also look into A Spindle lift. Made by Bullseye industries. Thats what I have So Far. You can also use a Body lift ( Cheapest) Use any of the three alone or in any combination. You could lift it 9.5 inches in total. I got my Spindles for around $600.00 and installed them myself. Bought from Off Road Warehouse in San Diego

I did the body lift on my 2wd this weekend and the instructions didn't say anything about not fitting on a regular cab, and I didn't have to specify when I ordered so it should fit on yours. Call Performance Accessories and ask. Kit is only $120 or so if you do it yourself.Get the 3" though 'cause the 2" won't raise your bumpers. I don't get opportunity to go "4" wheeling so I went w/ body lift for the look more than performance. I parked my truck next to a stock 99 4X4 and they are now same height. Good Luck
