Question 2-3" Suspension lift

I would love to just lift the front of my 97 F150 4X4 supercab 3" and leave the rear alone other than an anti-sway bar and a couple of after market shocks. Any suggestions?

I would take a look at the new Rancho kit...

Rancho

Even though the kit is listed as 4" they have always been a little conservative with their heights...meaning I don't think it is a true 4" especially when they say it will accomodate up to 33" tires whereas most 4" Ford lifts accomodate 35" tires. In addition, the rear kit is only 2"

I have the Trailmaster 4" on my Expedition and now wish I had the Rancho...it looks like they have a better designed kit.

Another good one to look at is the Warn ~ Black Diamond.

Warn

Their products are very high quality and have extensive engineering behind the design.

Good luck...

Erik

Why not just crank up your torsion bars and level the truck out, instead of paying for a whole lift kit. Just make sure to realign front end after your done, other than that it's a free mod.

I forgot to say that I have already cranked the torsions as far as they would safely go and the back of the truck is still higher than the front. I want the opposite effect. I suppose that I am just going to have to break down and spend some money.

Thumbs up

Hey Black XLT...

Another route to consider is to skip the lift and get a set of SVT Lightning Wheels that are 18" x 9.75"...

lightning wheels

and then get a set of Yokohama AVS S/T's...

AVS ST

You will have to experiment with what tire fits the rim well and fits the truck wheel wells (I am thinking 285/60R 18V) but I guarantee you will have a look that is growing in popularity and sets your truck apart from the rest!

In fact...I am considering removing my lift kit and going with this set up on my EX myself!

Food for thought...

I saw the look your talking about today on a Yukon. I think that it would look hot on your expedition, but I'm not so convinced that that I would like it on my truck. The next problem that I am facing is that I don't want to go from 33" to 35" tires when I lift it so I am looking for pics of my truck with the rancho lift on 33's. I would be happy if the back of my truck didn't get any higher and the front sat an inch or two higher. Decisions... Decisions... By the way, your Expedition looks great, and for some reason I don't see many like it. Thanks for the links and the help.
