leveling kit for 2000 f150?

I just left Les Schwab today and while there I was informed that they do not make a front end leveling kit for my truck, I wanted to have a leveling kit installed to raise the front end up to match the back and was told that it does not exist, can someone verify this? My truck is a 2000 f150 XLT with the two regular doors and the two backwards doors, super crew or super cab, who knows, I always get the two mixed up, anyway, anyone here know if such a critter exists?

Thanks, John

It's called a supercab.

Do you have a 4wd or 2wd?

If it's 4wd you can just crank up your torsion bars.

If it's 2wd, then fabtech makes a 2in leveling kit for it.

Yeah it's 4 wheel drive, I'll have to look in to those two options.

OK, Forgive my ignorance here but what are torsion bars and how do you crank them up? I work on crown forklifts rapistan conveyors, and high voltage cabinets all day long but when it comes to working on cars, Wal~Mart lube bay changes my oil if you know what I mean :-)

Thanks for all your input, John

Here is a post that I answered the same question on how to crank the torsion bars. https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...hreadid=111960

Torsion bars basically keep your front end up. Just like coils do on the 2wds. They are the two bars that are connected from your back crossmember to up front.

The torsion bars are your springs basically in a nutshell and although a lot of people "Crank" them up it really is not a very good thing to do essentailly what that does is put more load on the bars than what they were designed for. They have been set by the factory to ride a certain way and although like I said alot of people on this site have cranked them up it really isnt good to crank them up all the way until the adj.bolt bottoms out it will also mess with the alignment specs as far as the toe in toe out settings. It may also make the ride quality a tad bit harsher. I had a site that explained it all very well but have somehow miss placed it If I can find it agian I wll post the website.

Here's what I decided to do, my problem was that I wanted a 4 or 5" lift kit and 35" tires but on my truck that would be over 4000.00 so I can only afford to do one at a time, I couldn't buy the tires and rims first because they would not fit without the lift kit, and I didn't want to do the lift kit first because I didn't want to drive around with a lifted truck with tiny little tires, so I had to compromise a little, I bought some really nice polished aluminum rims (16\8) and some nice (LT285\75R-16/8) Wild Country Tires, this is as big as I can go without the lift kit, in 6 months I will have my account paid down enough to put the (4"rear 5 1/2" front) suspension lift kit on the truck and it should still look good with the 285's then when the 285's wear out I will have 35's put on those same rims, Les Schwab says that they will fit on the 16\8 rims, correct them if they are wrong but this plan of attack should work out just peachy. John

Just thought I would share this info incase someone else runs in to the same situation.

Correction, My new rims are 10" wide not 8, they look really good, I'll have to upload a picture so people can see the 200 super cab with the 285's and 16/10 rims.
