Need help with shock decision
I am going to replace my shocks on my 97F150 XL 4x4. I want something that will give me a good ride on the road. I only off-road about twice a year and nothing to crazy, mainly some mud and dirt roads. I know the RS9000 is the best, but it is out of my budget. I am leaning towards the RSX but the best price I can get locally is $100CDN.
I can get Monroe Sensa-Tracs right now for buy 3 get one free plus no tax. But from what i've heard and also read on this site they are not recommended.
Does anybody know of a canadian website that sells shocks? I can find alot of american sites, but i'd like to avoid duty and brokerage fees. Also, any other shock recomendations out there?

I saw the Sears ad and they are having a 3 day sale on the RS5000 for like 35 with the SEARS card I think. I don't know if there is a SEARS in Canada, but someone on this board might check into it. Better hurry, it ends soon.
Do you live in windsor? If so drive over to detroit and get your shocks installed at sears then drive back, they would never know you purchased anyting.
Was shopping around online and the local stores for prices on the Rancho RS5000 and I couldn't believe the deal I found. Of all places I never would have thought Sears Automotive would be the best. Set of 4 Rancho RS5000 installed for 281.50 and the cool part is they include a 4 wheel alignment for free with any purchase of 4 shocks. My only delima is I'm not sure if the 5000 will be too stiff after reading up a bit? I'm trying to decide between the RS5000, the Monroe Reflex or the Rancho RSX. Too many choices!!!!!!!!!!! I don't do any offroading, well maybe once a year, so I'm not worried about that capability.
I have a 1999 Ford F150 Crew Cab 4X4 with the offroad package in case you were wondering.
