WOW! Independent Rear Suspension!!
WOW! Independent Rear Suspension!!
Talk about trick .... I would love to have an independent rear suspension on my F150 Low Rider. Why you might ask?
First of all, it would handle like no other truck in the world ... just like a corvette!! Well, almost. And, you could have a wider rear track because the rear wheels would "fold-up" into the wheel wells instead of hitting them. It would not only handle abetter ... it would look a lot better too.
Has anyone ever seen an F150 set up with independent rear suspension? I would love to see it.

2wd, yes, 4x4 HELL NO! That will be like 5g's to lift and will have a very high center of gravity. they tried to go with a fully independant quad, a 400ex and it did great in the high desert but once they put it into some tight corners they desided to go back to the hard as end.
But who knows, as I have yet to see one in an off road synario-

Since we're talking quads, it should be mentioned that a lot of the new 4x4 quads do have IRS, (Yamaha Grizzly, for instance). Yet none of the 2wd or sport quads have IRS. I've never seen a 400ex with IRS, and I do a lot of "high desert" riding. Was it ever sold, or just a concept quad?
Sand rails are a different story. Many of those have IRS, and do quite well in Off road conditions.
