3/4 ton suspension on a 1/2 ton?

I'd like to put a beefier suspension under my F150.
It's a '98 Regular cab 4x4 with the Off-Road Package.

Is it possible to put a heavier suspension under it like an F-250 suspension or even the 7700 series suspension (isn't that what was under the F250 LD?).

What would I need to replace and about how much would it cost?

Just got into the whole idea of modifying my truck, and it looks like I stepped into a real bucket of worms. Any mod I want is out there. Or should I say for every mod I want there's about 60 ways to do it, all of them "the best" in their brochures...LOL

I guess the best way to answer you is to know why you want a beefier suspension, if you want to haul weight in the back without sinking the rear end, I would go with extra leafs, or air bags, if you want off roading toughness go with after market springs, and shocks, but if you just want an all around heavier suspension, I think I'd trade the F150 for a 250, rather than to spend a bunch of money to convert the whole suspension.

Mainly for Off-Roading. 3/4 and up ton trucks are just too big.
