Pre Runnin

Ok I am going to try this one again.
I am looking for anyone out thee who has found a cheaper alternative to FabTech's 2wd lift kits.
I am hoping to be able to put 35's on my truck so let me know how you accomplished this task.
Also what other mods have you all done to complement your lift and tires?-

If you want a inexpensive lift for a 4x2 Screw, I would suggest the following. First, add a 3 inch body lift. That should be around $130 or so. Then you can add 2 inch Daystar coil spring spacers for around $50 or so, or 2" lift coils. You will need to have the front end aligned because of the spacers and you will want to add gap guards with the body lift (around $50-$60). This will give you 5 inches of lift in the front and 3 in the back, which should basically cause the truck to sit level. This should put you at the same, or slightly taller ride height as a stock 4x4 with its torsion bars cranked all the way up which should allow you to fit a 305/70-16 (33's) on a 16x10 inch rim. You may be able to fit 315/75's (35's) on a 16x8 rim but I'm not positive. If you add 3" lifted spindles ($300-$400?), you should fit 35's with no problem.

Sounds like you have the same idea I do.
I'm going to go with a small lift, like 3-5, possibly Fabtech, or RCD.
I'm also going with the fiberglass fenders all the way around to give me more clearance for 35's.
I'm not sure what is a less expensive option, but the fenders are about $800 for all four, and a 3 in lift for it can't be that much, and you'll fit 35's in with no prob.

Try AIM , they have the best price on lift kits. I've had mine on for 2 years with absolutely no trouble. The quality is as good as any of the other brands as far as I can see they just don't have the inflated price.
