5 suspension and 3 body

Why when buying a body lift, they say that suspension lift manufacturers suggect not adding the body lift or vice versa?
I have a 5 inch superlift and love it, but I what more. Is it really that bad on your vehicle? I would really appreciate the pro and cons of this decision.
Thanks guys

pros:
higher truck

cons:
cant jerk people out if they are stuck
less stable
kinda looks funny with the big space

Its all a matter of opinion, you really are limited to what you do if you want more lift. I personally dont like body lifts, but if I ever decide to go higher than im gonna be stuck with getting a body lift.

Thanks offroadmaniac. That is one bad truck. In the past, I have always disagreed with the desicion to get a body lift, but it seems that more people are going with them because they are a great deal cheaper and so far, not many owners have complained. But when the two are added together, it gets alot more complicated. When we go bigger, we have to have larger tires which calls for new gears which results in the loss of an extended warrenty. Thanks for the advice and any more is welcomed.
Merry Christmas to ford owners everywhere

Hey guys,

Since I am seriously considering a body lift also, I've been reading everything I can get my grubby lil hands on.

I read through a bunch of posts on FTW, and several of the people who had body lifts were complaining about the steering linkage not being right after the lift.

From what I've learned, yuou need to get a steering extension (or something like that), and people were saying that has created some problems. (loose sterring and such)

Anyone know what i'm talking about here?

Like many of you, I want to get a lift also, but have been sitting on the fence worrying about consequential problems.

Hopefully someone will come along and set the record straight.

Habibi

Are you going to a larger tire? How tall? New gears?

hmmm

i think i might try to squeeze some 37s on therebut, im putting the three inches on there to keep my front tires from rubbing the flares everytime i turn now. plus the bfs are almost knew,
but ill wait and see what it looks like after the body lift!!

When I put my body lift in i had alot of problems with the steering linkage wearing out, and also I cannot have my Leer cap on the truck when off road because the body twists more and I beat my cab all the hell!
