Lowering, shackle design?

I think I've seen 2" rear drop shackles, is that the only size they make?
Now if the shackle lowers the truck 2", how much longer physically is the shackle? I was just going to make my own.

2in is the only size I've ever seen. My stock shackles are buried in the attic somewhere or I'd measure them. But, if I had to go out on a limb and guess the size difference I'd say 2inches center of the hole to center of hole
I wouldn't go much longer as you run the risk of it hitting the bed.

Sorry, No I don't. But the 2in shackle drop will level the truck nicely. It's easy, cheap and the benefits are well worth it. It looks much better.
Just picture your truck with the a$$ down where it should be, level with the front.
If you ever get down to the Warner Robins area I'd be glad to give you a birds eye view though

Speaking of level with the front....is the rear normally 2" higher? With over 3/4 of a tank of gas my rear is 1" higher on the D side and 1.5" higher on the P side, compared to the front (level side to side).

Here's some measurements and comparisons of stock shackles and belltech 2" drop shackles. This should help out a bit. Tell me what your home made shackles turn out to be. Shouldn't be all that hard to do. Good luck.
