3/5 drop
3/5 drop
I might end up lowering my truck 3/5 just wonder what goes into this. Is it basically the same as a 2/4 drop. I mean basically springs in the front and hangers and shackles in back or is it a bit more complicated. Does this need a c-notch. I have no L or HD just a regular F150 ext cab.
Does anybody have this type of drop on their truck with 22in rims.
I have 22s and just wondering if 3" drop in front would rub or effect turning.
Sorry 4 dumb ?s
Many have said a 2/4 is better but i'm not sure if thats low enough 4 me
If anybody has any picts of regular F150's with 22's lowered 2/4 or 3/5 please post picts. No picts of HD or L because since from factory they are already lowered don't get good idea of what a 2/4 or 3/5 looks like.
Thanks 4 the

I did the 3/3 drop from Belltech, but brought it down to 5 in the back of my expo, its a good kit, but different from what you want, I say do the 3/5, but I hope you have enough room in the wheel well for the front, you might need to cut some of the fender expecially if the wheels are wide. I have probs with my tires rubbing, but I only have 17's but I have fat *** tires on mine, I say do 22's and drop the back a few inches.

I'm doing the same thing.
heres what I think I know.
I have the v6 so a 2" spring(in the front) will only drop me 1". if you have a v8 then all is peachy, 2" = 2". if you have a v6, then your with me..
I'm useing a 2" lowering coil and a 2"a arm.
the coils is belltech, the a arm is here.

the a arm will give you a full 2"(v8 or v6) I have looked into lots of opions for shocks and the only 2 that are worth a spit are the edelbrock 2/4 drop shocks(these will work on the 3/5 drop also)
and the stock lightning shocks. no shock relocator needed but will be needed if you go lower later.
I know guys who have used these products and unlike most droped trucks Love Them!!
the a arms that I suggested are your best bet. chassie teck makes some but they don't fit right and I've been told most people pay tons to get them installed or just buy a different brand.. westren are some of the best period.
as for the rear.. shackels and hangers are 1 option..
2nd option is a nice set of lightning springs.
the lightning springs will give you a full 2" drop in the rear.
it does however drop your payload to 900 pounds.. this is not a option for some.. you can however get a air bag system for 199. in the rear and that will boost you payload to 2600 pounds. good investment either way.
the lightning leafs are softer and a better ride+ more latteral g's for turning.
so with a 2 " hanger and a 2" shackel(you only drop the shackle 1 " though) + your nice new set of lightning leafs you have a improved ride + a 5" drop in the rear..
now all you have to do is be able to stuff your rubber in the wheel wells..
I have 18/255/55 and 5 1/4 backspacing. they will fit in the wheel wells and are still stock hight.
I hope this helps. good luck.
