Best mileage mods
Well although this question has been asked a million times in other threads. I was once a newbie too and I will humor you.
Just kiddin'
The best mods so far are:
Electric Fan- frees up about 10hp
Electric water pump- the jury is still out on this one. Some say it is good for street, some say its good for only strip.
And Last BUT NOT LEAST-Take your foot out of the pedal
The most affective way to get better mpg's is to drive like a grandma. That is the over-all opinion from what I have researched.
Correct me if I'm wrong fella's.

Thanks. I knew this had been discussed to a certain extent. I was just curious what other SuperCrew owners had done. My wife drives a 98 Subaru Impreza, and I'm hearing it about how much gas the Screw's drinking. I figure, if I can get some more hp and save a little gas, that be cool.
Yes, these mods will work and maybe add up to make a difference, but to do these with any type of budget, you will need to surf Ebay to find these items, otherwise you will spend a pretty penny to find a fan and electric water pump.
I found my electric fan on Ebay for $40, but I had to surf for a month or so.
I think that you would need a fan that pushed 700 cfm's or moree to support a V-8
Good Luck

A cat-back and a air filter replacement are a great bang for the buck as far as performance goes.
You will get better gas mileage with these mods IF you don't abuse the extra power they give you which most people (such as myself) do.

These are the numbers that are posted on stickers of new vehicles on the lot, NOT actual mileage, depending on mods, driving habits, terrain etc actual mileage may vary!!

Try to read a little closer Familyman. Here is what it actually says. "Three full-size pickups, the Chevrolet Silverado 2500, the GMC Sierra 1500 and the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 were next on the list, rated at an estimated 11 mpg combined and 12 mpg highway. The ratings for the Sierra 1500 and the Silverado 1500 are based on burning E85 rather than gasoline, and the estimates improve considerably to 15 mpg combined and 17 mpg highway when gasoline is used. "
THat makes a little more sense now.
