Troy,

When your truck's rear end falls, is it possible it's trying to signal to you that it wants to take a dump or maybe pass gas?:o

Marc,

That's exactly how I'd describe my "thunk". For the record, my 2000 F150 SCAB 4.6 did it, as does my 2001 SCREW 5.4. I'm not sure if the transmissions were the same though, my screw has the 3.55 LSD rear end, the old one didn't have LSD, but I don't remember what the gears were.

But mine only does it on rolling accelleration from about 15~20 mph as it's shifting gears. It's done this since day 1, I now have 16000 on it. Load doesn't seem to change my behavior, although I normally do not carry anything-- not even sand for winter traction or ballast.

I've been watching this topic for what seems like almost 2 years now, but have held off taking it in thus far as I'd probably pull my Superchip out for that (I've noticed no change in behavior with or without the chip though). I'm thinking though that it's worth a few days in the shop, to document the condition when my warranty expires though, probably hit 36k by 4-04. But I'm just not confident that it's going to do much else. And now, it's will snow the day I take it in, almost promise that
