Drivers side airbag recall.

I noticed in [url]WWW.ALLDATA.COM that there is a recall on drivers side airbags. I was wondering why it would be in the USA only? After calling my dealer I was told there is no recall here. He said something about a difference in the speed they go off being different in Canada. If you haven't been notified, maybe you should call.

I received only one recal notice on my 01 SCrew and it was for the seatbelts. Have others of you had your trucks recalled on these other issues? I assume if I did not get a notice that my truck is not effected. Is that a bad assumption?

I got my 2001 SCREW in August of 2001 and by then the sealbelt recal had past and all the trucks on the lot were checked. I have not recived any recal notices from Ford and I do know I'm on there mailing list as they have sent me other various mailings.

Thumbs down

Unfortunately, some of these aren't really a "recall", but a TSB. They are tagged as " *IF* the customer complains ". SOS from car dealers, but they are in the business to make money, aren't they ?

Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead but I would like a bit more info on this. If they go off and they arent supposed to, is that enough for a free fix from Ford? See my other thread about airbags for more info...
