Got the Screw!

Hey Guys,

Finally picked up my new 2003 Screw yesterday. What a nice truck!

This is what I got

XLT
Burgandy Red Clearcoat Metallic
Medium Graphite Interior
FX4 Package
5.4 L V8
3.73 Rears
Sliding Rear Window
Captains Chairs
Upgraded Goodyear ATS tires

I think that about sums it up. I will post pics ASAP!

Well, here's a couple of pics. No time for anymore right now.

P.S. How do you get your gallery link to say "Here's my Gallery" or anything else besides just seeing the link?

TIA,

Jim

Fordtuff,

Thanks man. You got a nice ride yourself! I plan on getting a set of nerf bars and a bedliner to start with. Pics will come as I get more things done to my truck.

Just like to say SWEET lookin' ride ya' got there Jim, and thanks for posting pics... now I guess I'm the only one left. Going to 1hr photo tomorrow night after i finish off the role and will post pics when they are done. I'll also be sure to take some pics of my interior, cause i know that I had to search pretty hard to find out what the 02-03 SuperCrew interior looked like with the bench. Still debating in if I should have got the buckets,.. I stuck with the bench cause i normally haul people around so i never know when i might need it...but who cares, the important part is that it's an F-150. But that's an entirely different discussion... NICE TRUCK Jim and I'll talk to you guys later.

Thanks Guys

Just wanted to say thanks for the compliments. When I have more time, I will get some more pics posted. I figure I will wait until I get some mods done at least the nerf bars, before posting anymore.

Matt, Chris, Mike, good luck with your trucks!

Jim

P.S. Chris, how are the Xenon headlights?

Matt - Can't wait to see those pics!

Well, Let's just say...

I ended up swapping back out to the stock headlights... The slightly amber lighting stocks have seem to light farther out, at least visually speaking.. This is probably just a mental case based on the fact that I have been driving my entire life with normal filament bulbs, not these superwhites.

Basically, I found that I like the stocks better... And when you swap out the Fogs with the 9005's, you'll ahve all the light you'll ever ask for...

I did adjust the lights though.. After I raised the torsion bars....

If it were me, keep the $30 bucks for the Xenons.. Teell ya what, I will sell you mine for $15... They're still sitting in the original box and I never touched the bulbs... Only used about two weeks..

Hmmm

Well Chris, I've heard similar comments from other folks about those superwhite bulbs. From both Ford and Chevy owners. It sounds like a good deal for 15 bucks, but I think I too will pass. Maybe you should throw them up on Ebay? Thanks for the offer though.

So, what is the deal with the 9005 fog lights? Different bulbs I presume, or is it something else altogether?

Thanks in advance,

Jim

Hey Jim,

I finally, too, got my lazy butt around to takin some pics. I'm enjoying my new truck. First 500 miles have been great. Great power and ride! Will stay with this board and benefit from the great resource it provides, especially RP (I'll be using Lexol to clean my leather sears) and Jag (thanks for the pics). I'll leave a link to my gallery ... sorry the pics are sorry quality...threw the gallery together real quick.

My Gallery

Thanks Again,
Matt

Is there any body style diffrence on the 2003s and 2002s VS the 2001?

I know that the FX4 package is availible but other than that is there any diffrence on the outside? Like tail lights, head lights, grill, etc.

Just curious or is Ford basically just making minute changes here and there?

DCovell,

No real noticeable changes for the 03 model year. I owned a 01 SCrew and the only thing that "seems" different is the front hood area feels like it rounds off towards the front bumper a little more; but I can't say for sure!! The F-150 body style has basically remained the same since 1997. That will all change with the 04 model year when the F-150 body style is to be re-designed.

Jim great looking set of wheels!!!!!!!!!!!
