I'd like to be able to turn on my Fog lights WITHOUT having to turn on the headlights!! IS there a way of fixing/changing the switch??

Also, are there any aftermartket foglights that are built to fit into the space where the factory fog lights are?? You know, a REAL fog light.

 

Many aftermarket ones go into the space, but aren't the same shape. I just got the Xenarc HID auxiliary driving lights to replace my factory fogs. They are as close to the factory fit that I have seen. They are pricey though.

The fog light mod listed on this board makes it so you can turn on the fogs when the parking lights are on as well, but you could do your own and dremel out more so you could turn them on without even the parking lights on. You run the risk of draining your battery though if you leave them on.

I just completed the fog light mod this weekend and it was pretty easy. Works great. Just be careful how you cut the slots in the light mechanism and I had to use epoxy to reattach the face plate. Super glue just wouldn't do the trick. Also I used a heated Utility knife to cut the new slots/ramps in the collar. It work pretty well and doesn't take as long as filing. If you cut 2 slots you can have fogs with parking lights and with auto lights. Good luck.

Oh by the way you can also replace your bulbs to get a brighter/whiter light out of the fogs.

Any recomendations of replacement / brighter lights for the fog lights?

 

I did the mod and used sylvania silver stars for the fogs and my main headlights. They are bright white and look awesome.
