Nerf Bars

Well guys yes I am thinking ahead. What type of Nerf Bars do y'all have on your Screw's? I've heard that Westin makes a nice product. Also, would you get plain black or stainless steel?

TIA,

Jim

I have the Westin nerf bars. I think they look pretty nice. You can see them by looking here:

Nerf Bars

I have the "FORD" nerf bars on my screw. It came with factory running boards, but I was not too crazy about them. I like the Nerf Bars alot better, makes my SCREW look alittle bigger. Just put a set of Westin on a friends JEEP grand Cherokee and they look really nice. I think they make a good quality product!!!!!

Just my 2 cents!!

Good Luck!!

Depends on what color your truck is the wheather or not you get the black ones, now the stainless will look good with any color, but don't get the chrome, they have been known to rust.
By the way, the Ford running boards may not look as sharp, but they don't look bad and are functionally superior. IMHO

I've got the Westin Chrome CPS series and love them. The CPS series are stainless with chrome so you don't have to worry about rusting. I'd didn't care for the just the stainless because of the dull finish. As for black or chrome, depends on your preference and truck color... I personally like the shine of the chrome.

Running Boards...

I agree with DALE, ther Ford factory running boards do look very good and work even better, my problem with them was anytime it rain it was like a dustpan for all the dirt that was on the truck. I in NO WAY meant they were no good, just a chore to keep them clean. I like them but like the look of the NERF BArs alittle better that's all!!!

Cheleri et al,

Thanks very much for the pic and feedback. I think I will go with the Westin CPS series myself. I dont have my truck yet. I have an 03 Screw on order in the new Burgandy Red Clearcoat Metallic color.

Those Westin CPS series will sure look sharp!

Are the pricey however?

Thanks again,

Jim

Make sure you get the right bars. Tony in another thread kind of got screwed(no pun) on his westin bars. Check out the thread and the pics of the ones he received.

BTW, I have the black westin bars on my Red SCREW. These are very well made bars and quite durable. I was actually quite impressed.

If you did not get them yet, why not wheel and deal with the dealer for a set of FORD bars. I do not know who makes them for FORD but you KNOW they are the right ones!!!!

Just a thought!

Cheleri...

How much were those Stainless bars? I have the factory installed but if they do rust out in a few years or If I beat them up, the Stainless would be my #1 choice for replacement....

I purchased Luverne Stainless Steel Set for the same price as the Westin Chrome bars.

Just for a different point of view, I like the Manik nerf bars. I like the wheel to wheel look of them which is exactly what makes some people not like them. Different strokes for differnet folks.

Lynchmob, I'll second you on Manik. The Westins look great but EVERYBODY has them or other brand look-a-likes. I like the looks of the Maniks a little better and have not yet seen them on another SuperCrew in my area.
