Stupid Question about warranty

I was wondering if it will void my warranty if I get a flowmaster with dual pipes out the back installed. I purchased the 100,000 mile warranty.
Thanks for your input

Ask the dealer that you plan to have service it.... probably not, but to be sure...

I have been told as long as you don't touch anything from the "Y" piece up your fine. So a Cat-Back is fine.

I know that there is a law that states any aftermarket stuff or modification cannot simply automatically void a warrenty unless the dealer can prove it. Bascially if you bring it in and a head gasket is blown they can't say sorry but you have a cat-back and a chip so your warrenty is void, they have to prove that you mods caused the problem.

I got my cat-back the first weekend I had my truck! Love it and it sounds great with that big V8!

dcovell,

Why don't you send me an email, I'll send you a Word document on how to adjust your torsion bars and level out your truck. I think it's time to get that task off your wish list, don't you?

Fordtuffscrew,

As for exhuast mods, I'm probably going with headers and full duals after my warranty is out, in two years or 27,500 more miles, whichever comes first. I'm not sure on the warranty question but I'd think the cat-back recommendations are correct.

Later,

Rock,

Maybe it was daylight when you were preaching to me, but it was raining too. Hell, even chickens know to get out of the rain. I guess it'd be too much to ask for you to assume that I've got just one more brain cell than a chicken, hey?

Oh well, I've still got about 140 more feet to go, out of the original 550. There's always something keeping me from working on it.

1. Taking care of my son.
2. Friggin' 105° outside with heat index
3. Scanning this site and explaining myself.
4. Gathering up all my tools to get out of the rain or to keep from getting struck by lightning. You know, I hate pine trees, and I've got a few on the back of my lot where I'm fencing now. My neighbor told me that they are worthless, I agree and they're all coming down, Timberrrrrrrrrr. Then he told me they aint nothin' but lighting rods, that's all they are. I agreed and said don't worry, they are coming down, Timberrrrrrrrrrrr...Bad part is it takes a hell of a lot of work to clean up after you cut down a tree, I mean a lot...Friggin limbs stuck in ground all over the place, some several feet in the ground and you have to cut'em off flush with the ground as there's no way to pull'em out, shat...

I'm sure you'll understand, everyone of us has a little bit of Paul Bunnion in us, don't we??? Don't worry, you'll be the second person to find out when I'm finished, me first, wife last, her unfinished project list is too long...
