Secret Stash

I am a newbie here.

I have been reading for a while. There are lots of knowledgeable people here and loads of good info. Here is a small tidbit that I found out about the center console of my '02 Supercrew Lariat.

Remove the rubber inserts on the front cupholders.

Squeeze the bottoms of the two cupholder wells together until the bottoms touch. (My hands are big enough that I can do this between my thumb and index finger. If yours are not you may have to kneel on the drivers seat in order to use both hands.)

As you are doing this, pull upward. The plastic tray comes out and leave a nice size little cubby hole big enough to hide a few handy items in.

The tray easily slides right back into place by pushing downward on it.

I know all about this stash as you call it...I had to remove my center console several times and I did it in my '00 Super Cab too.

Later,

Thumbs up

There are probably some papers leading to his identity stashed in the secret cubby of his console.

I also believe we can lift some excellent prints of his thumb and index finger from the bottom of his cupholders.

I agree with you on the pics. I want to see one of the hand that can remove both cupholders. He claims he can do it but, how do we know he even really has fingers.

Dave,

Ya know what I think, I think he's telling all of us about this stash spot ...then he's gonna hit all our trucks and he'll know where all the good stash is...........Just because I'm paranoid, doesn't mean they are not out to get me

I could be wrong but I know I felt that way but I said, what the hell, the guy needs to know someone is listening...How about some pictures and some truck specifics, we deserve to know something, right?

He's Attorney General John Ashcroft and he's going to bust us for discussing secret things in violation of the Patriot Act.

OK OK

I didn't realize you guys were on the anti-privacy police.

I filled in a few details, and I'll attempt to put a pic on my profile soon.

It's OK guys, he checks out.

Let's see,
he owes 24 yrs on a 30 yr mortgage (really need to re-finance that puppy)
he has an un-paid bar tab at Moe's, $71.86.
he's been putting the cheap gas in his truck.
three cards, one maxed out.
oh, and he hasn't taken his cat to the vet for two years.

Welcome aboard!

Under the cup holders

Under the cup holders is also a GREAT place to hide a handgun.

Guaranteed, less then 10% of the general population know about that area.

BUT you best have strong hands and be able to rip the drink holder to get your heat, incase of a car-jacking.

Imagine the surprised look on "Mopes" face as he grabs your left arm to pull you out and you swing around with a right hand full of Whoopass. Two center of Mass, and don't forget the 1 to the head, to cut his electric.

Good tip, I'm going to look into that tonight. Welcome, 99fcas!
I carry a handgun in my truck, but if I get carjacked they can have the truck. A $500 deductible later I get a new one, and probably get to live.

Not now that you have posted that on the internet.

So when the drug sniffing dogs go off on your "secret stash" will they know where to look? They might now that the secret is out. Too bad I don't have a console on my bench seat or I could use this to stash my stash...

Glove Box Cubbie Hole

Anyone notice the extra space behind the glove box door? The tilt out box doesn't go the full width of the opening (right side). I thought that a little piece of trim like a false door might do the trick ... the hole looks big enough for a snubnose or compact auto. Just a thought.
