Towing w/Screw, Mirrors?

I will soon be towing with my Screw, 2002, FX4, 4X4, Superchip, MAF, and Ravin Z55. For those of you that do tow with the Screw what type of towing mirrors do you have?

Thanks

i tow a 24 ft enclosed trailer that is 102" wide. i'm using the stock mirrors and no problems. change lanes carefully though and use your turn signals well in advance.

Towing Mirrors,

I tow an 8,000 lb. inclosed race car trailer, 20 foot by 102"
I purchased the Ford mirrors that slide over the stock mirrors. They work out great. Only cost about $60.00
I take them on and off if the trailer is on or off, which is a couple times a month.

I don't tow but I do have the convex round mirrors on the far bottom corner of each mirror. This has dramatically helped with lane changes and covers the trucks blind spots. I highly recomend it for anyone with a big truck like our SCREWs.

Very cheap and they just stick on.

I use the Ford slip one ones also, they work pretty well but are just a little small.

Talking

I just traded my SCrew for a F250. I hated to let her go but we want a bigger camper, so this meant bigger truck!!!

I have the **** mirrors for sale and they work great!! I'll take $30 not including shipping.

BroncoDave,

Those look sweet, did you just get them at the dealer, or from one of the parts online places ?

I tried to intall a pair of the BesTop mirrors that extend like the SD mirrors, but the wing did not fit right, it was too small.

I later found out that the wing, on the BesTop SCrew mirrors, is designed for the manual mirrors only, and the power mirror does not have an option from BesTop.

Guess the SCrew uses EXPY mirrors, and the wing is slightly larger then the F150 mirrors ?? I could have sworn they were the same.

BTW : The sun shade for the side, did you make those, or is that a kit that has drivers pass, and the front window ?

SScully ,
My wife got me those mirrors for Xmas last year and ordered them from the local dealer. I think they ran about $60.00, but I'm sure that www.fordpartsnetwork.com could get them for you. If you need a part # let me know.
The sunshades I got on ebay from http://www.autosunshields.com/manu/f...el_select.html
They were about $35.00 and they are a custom kit for the supercrew. They fit pretty well, and are well made, and come in a nylon storage bag . They sure keep the sun from cooking the leather on the truck.

Please email me details on the mirrors.
