Quantum ATB Toolbox
Hello and thanks for reading!
I am in the market for a toolbox for my SuperCrew. I would like to find one that is similar to a low-profile. Basically I do not want one of the big ones that coverup 8" above the rear Windows.
I have been found a Quantum ATB Series for the SuperCrew. I was wondering if any one had any comments about this series and better yet if anyone had pictures of one of these boxes on a SuperCrew. In addition, do these boxes require holes to be drilled into the truck?
Another product I am looking into is a Dual Exhaust. I have started looking at the Borla Cat-Back. I was wondering if these are real loud on the interior of the cab? Did adding the dual exhaust increase your gas mileage? I know that this depends alot on your driving style, I do not get on the gas too much. I do my best to be slow and steady (but you know - sometimes a guy just has to let loose). Anyone know of the best place to buy one of these systems?
Any ideas and/or comments would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks - Michael

regarding toolbox:
I am not familiar with the brand you have.... however here are a couple of things to keep in mind. Look at one of the ones you want and make sure you open and close it . It should work like a good car door (Solid & Easy to latch)
Look at both styles Regular and Gull wing and figure out which will better meet your needs.
you do NOT need to drill to mount it ....have them use "J" hooks they go under the lip of the truck bed
I will include a pic of mine - description is in my signature
Regarding exhaust:
for under $275 I went to a performance muffler shop in town and had them build me a custom true duel system. We cut the old system off right behind the 2nd cat converter on each side.
they figured the volume of intale air with my airraid and balanced the back pressure with that so s not to cause any loss in torque at the low end
the result was more power and a nice sound when you tromp it but just a mellow growl under normal conditions

I am assuming you mean the Quantum ATB by BetterBilt. I have seen one on a flareside SuperCab on the parking lot at work. They look pretty sweet. My dilemna: Should I buy the Toolbox and lose some bed space, or buy a hard tonneau (specifically the Undercover) and have quicker removal? I'm tempted to get the Undercover and just make or buy some trays for my tools. I also haven't seen a price on the Quantum ATB, yet. Who has it cheapest?
Daws Better Built - Quantum ATB Toolbox
Hello! Thanks for all of the replies so far!
The Daws Better Built Quantum ATB for the SuperCrew that I have seen at our local Lowes hardware store runs around $279.

Noah'sDad,
Its a shame you cannot get the same price year-round at the same stores. The real funny part is that I may be able to get my father (a retired lowes sales mgr.) to pickup up one and hopefully get a slight discount.
But I would still like to see a picture of one before I pickone up. There is also a local store that supposedly carries alot of different makes and models of boxes that I am going to try to visit.
Talking about the price difference, I have searched earlier posts for the Borla Dual Exhaust where people were paying in the mid $400 range from truckperformance.com. Now its up to $540.
Talk to you later,
Michael
