Ordering - please help ASAP!
Trying to order a 2003 SuperCrew by tomorrow (to meet some deadline). Dealer says that XLT with FX4 package only comes with Dark Shadow Grey secondary color if the truck color is True Blue. No other choices without going to Lariet. The order sheets I have say that too. Said the computer will not accept other secondary colors.
However, I have seen them on the road and have seen solid colors (no secondary color at all with the FX4). There was mentioned here in the past about this and how to get around it. Any help on this issue, please!?

If you are looking for dark shadow gray secondary color in a 4X4 package the new Burgundy comes with that as a secondary color. If you are trying to order just Dark Shadow Gray as a single color then it is NOT available with the 4X4 package nor is it available as the primary on a tu-tone order with the 4X4 package.
What I am really after is True Blue with the secondary color being Silver Mettalic (not Dark Shadow Grey) with the FX4 package.
Can you get the aluminum 17 inch wheels with just the 4x4? That is the only really good part of the FX4 package (and maybe the 3.55 limited slip).
Thanks for the replies...

Most, if not all, options in the FX4 can be replicated on the order sheet. Its just cheaper to order the FX4 versus ordering the options separate.
If you want the FX4 just for the rims, then you dont need it. Order yor XLT 4X4 and then order the rims you want.
If the sales rep wants the sale bad enough, he'll figure out a way to give you what you want... or another rep at another dealer will do it for you.

the only two colours that can be had as secondary colours on the s-crew are the dark shadow grey and arizona beige. the grey only on fx4 packages...and the arizona biege only on king ranches and optional on lariat...
unfortunately you can't specify whatever secondary colour you want....of course you could always paint it whatever you want after taking delivery.

I agree - the only plain colored ones I have seen have been Lariet.
J-150,
If I could get the factory 17 inch wheels with just an XLT 4x4, I probably would have gone that way.
