rust inside rear doors

Wow!!
I was giving my "01 SCrew a good cleaning this past weekend, and as I was wiping the lower inside section of the rear doors I happened to look at the seams where the outer skin is folded over the inner, and to my amazement, I saw a lot of rust.
The drain holes were open, and I have not had any rustproofing done on the truck.
Has anyone else noticed any rust in this location?

ISSUE
Some vehicles may exhibit corrosion at the hem flange at the bottom of any door/tailgate where the outer panel is folded over the inner panel. This may be caused by the adhesive absorbing water during the production process
Ford does claim to cover this under the bumper to bumper warranty.

I noticed the rust at the bottom of both doors back in '98. Ford wasn't willing to cover it back then. It hasn't gotten any worse over the years though.

haven't noticed anything on my '02 s-crew, yet. however, my sister's '99 expedition had rust on the bottom of all four doors! ford was originally gonna replace all the doors then backed down and wanted to fix the ones on the truck, even though they appeared to be rusting from the inside out. needless to say my sister and brother-in-law are now driving a new tahoe...

I just had the rust fixed on the bottom of all four of my doors, the bottom of the tailgate, and the factory step bars, all covered under warranty.

My truck is a Supercab, but that shouldn't make a difference on the warranty claim.
