Does anyone know if a bed extender from an Explorer Sports Trac will work on a 2001 Screw? The man at my local Ford dealer said I needed OEM part number 1L2Z-99286A40-AA but when I looked this number up on a web site it is listed as the Sports Trac extender. I called him back and said that is what I need. Order or not??

I think you should double check the part number. I have no proof but I think they are different sizes. Maybe you can check both trucks measurements on the Ford web site. Or stay tuned I am sure some one else around here will know the answer.

 

The width of the Crew bed is 4' - big enouh to accept a full size piece of plywood. No way is the Sport Track bed width that big...

 

Just sold my '02 S'crew bed extender to a friend last night. Fit in his '02 Sport Trac perfectly.
