Auto Climate Control

I was wondering if the auto climate control can be added to a XLT. I think this would be a good mod. Has anyone thought or tried doing this.I wonder if it just plugs in. It appears all Supercrews are prewired for all Ford Accesories, so I wonder if the control panel would just plug in.

Exclamation not worth the time and money

To intall the EATC, you'll need

1. different temp door actuator
2. different blower motor
3. sniffer hose
4. different wiring harness.

I'm pretty sure you'll need to pull the IP to get to the temp door actuator.

Basically, it's not worth it.

I've heard it can be done but, it's not as simple as pulling the faceplate with the ***** and replacing it with the electronic unit.

From what I've heard on 'other' boards about this, it's incredibly difficult and as Corpsie said, probably not worth it.

I thought that would be the case. after seeing all the post about keypad, foglights and some others I was hoping it was a simple swap. Either way I am very pleases with my Screw the way it is thanks to all who replied.

But, if you get a KR or Lariat, make sure it's a 2002+ model. It wasn't available on the 01's.
