Question Air Dam Question?

Can anyone provide me with any suggestions on a new air dam. I want to have one similar to what the Lightnings have, with round fog lights. I think there is a bumper cover available that will fit over my existing bumper, that also has round fog lights. Pictures would be much appreciated. Also, approximate pricing as well. Thanks in advance...........JB

SUp JB..
Once again, nice Sub installs.

As for bumper covers...I too wanted the nicest one available.
The day I was to order the lightning cover, I was told about the "Street Scene" Gen 3 cover. Took one look and ordered it.
It is the one that was on the cover of "Street Trucks" SCrew cover pic a few months ago. Nice very nice. Yet no "round light holes.

In fact thats why I got it, to be just a little different that all the others who have the lightning cover. Granted the lightning cover to ME was the sweetest...until the Gen3.

For a "Lightning-look" airdam, do a search for the StreetScene "Storm" valance. It's a direct replacement for your existing valance...and it accommodates up to 4 1/2" driving/fog lamps. I believe they cost $200-250 ready to paint.
I do know that Stillen and Performance Products are distributors. I'm saving up right now to get one. I just checked at Ford yesterday for a price on the Harley valance which I really would like to have...$830!...way over-priced!

Thumbs up

Nodrive55,

Thanks for the link. That's a pretty sweet air dam. The right set of round PIAA driving lights may even look pretty damn good in there....Hmmm. Can you either post a picture of yours, or email some pix. My email addy is: jbinsd@sbcglobal.net

You're right, I think it might just look better than the Lightning. And I agree that I want my truck to stand apart from the crowd. Anyway, send me some pix......JB

Hello all

I looked at the Performance Parts link and it reminded me of a question I have had for a while. One of the bumper covers was a generation 2 valance. The picture showed the valance ( not bad by the way) installed and painted lime green. In the picture it also shows a piece above the bumper but below the grille that is also painted lime green. I like the idea of the piece above the bumper being painted and all, but mine is the gray plastic textured part. I have seen the smooth ones on Expeditions. Does anyone know of the correct part number and a ballpark price on the smooth finished part? If anyone knows whether its a pain the butt to replace, I'd appreciate that too.

Thanks all

Judd
