Harley grille fitment

I recently got a '01 Harley grill from ebay and just put it on my '01 Supercrew lastnight. To my amazement, it didn't fit so flush as I had expected it too! It has about 1/4" of gap in between each top corner of the grille and surround. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it also doesn't have a lip around the grille like the honeycomb one does to conceal the tabs that connect the grille with the surround. The seller stated that it is a "genuine Ford part" as it appeared to look authentic (Ford insignia and part # on back of emblem plaque on grill) when I received it. It still looks great, but I would expect an OEM part to fit alot better! Any info would help, Thanks!

Harley grill

Its probably like mine. I ordered mine from...(?) name leaves me now, but was onlt like $70. It has the gap like you are talking. I have had mine on about 6 months. Fixing to swap back to original grill. Tires of the chrome look.

KEEP IT FORD!

A have a FORD Harley Grill on my SCrew and the fit is perfect! Granted I paid more for mine but that was the main reason I decided to go that way as I have heard MANY people complain about the fit and finish of the so-called "OEM" grills. Having a GOOD friend as a service writer at the local dealer helps too
